Decision 2: Brightness — less than you think

Screen-first is the rule. Your eyes adapt to a dark room within minutes, so a star field at 20–30% brightness reads as vivid while adding zero perceptible wash on the screen. Set twinkle to slow or off during films — motion in peripheral vision is what pulls attention, not light itself. Save the brighter, livelier settings for intermissions and hosting.

Decision 3: Scenes — preset the moments

• Hide the controller near your AV rack so all remotes and hubs live together.
