Before You Start

Everything required for a clean connection.

Lay out the supplied parts first so each connection is easy to identify before the panels go overhead.

Low-voltage power supply

Power supply

Includes the 5.5 mm x 2.5 mm DC jack for the controller.

Set up a safe work area.

Complete all low-voltage wiring before connecting the power supply to an outlet.

  • Confirm the planned panel layout.
  • Keep power disconnected while wiring.
  • Identify the PCB connector on each panel.
  • Keep a wire stripper or cutter ready.

Installation Flow

From panel layout to first light.

Work in this order so the ceiling stays organized and every connection can be checked before power-up.

STEP 01

Plan the layout.

Measure the ceiling, choose panel orientation, and confirm how the panels will align before mounting.

Detailed Wiring

Connect the panels to the controller.

Use the cable markings and controller labels as the source of truth while completing each connection.

  1. Connect one end of the double-ended cable to the right-side PCB connector on the back of the first Starlight panel.
  2. At the controller end, remove the unused connector and carefully strip the insulation to expose the wire filaments.
  3. Match the wire marked for positive output to the controller terminal labeled V+ on the Output side.
  4. Connect the remaining four wires in order to CH1, CH2, CH3, and CH4.
  5. For additional panels, connect the unused PCB connector on the first panel to a connector on the next panel.
  6. Insert the DC jack into Power IN, check every terminal, then connect the power supply to a 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz outlet.

App Setup

Bring your ceiling controls to your phone.

Download the Starlight Ceiling app from the controller QR code or the app store for your device.
