How to Install Starlight Ceiling Panels
Follow a clear path from room planning to final app setup. Your panels arrive with the star field already built in and ready to connect.

Before You Start
Everything required for a clean connection.
Lay out the supplied parts first so each connection is easy to identify before the panels go overhead.
Connector cable
Links the panel PCB to the controller and additional panels.
Starlight controller
Manages brightness, speed, light modes, and app control.
Power supply
Includes the 5.5 mm x 2.5 mm DC jack for the controller.
Set up a safe work area.
Complete all low-voltage wiring before connecting the power supply to an outlet.

- Identify the PCB connector on each panel.
- Keep a wire stripper or cutter ready.

Choose the right panel systemInstallation Flow
From panel layout to first light.
Work in this order so the ceiling stays organized and every connection can be checked before power-up.
STEP 01
Plan the layout.
Measure the ceiling, choose panel orientation, and confirm how the panels will align before mounting.
STEP 02
Place the panels.
Mount or set the panels into the prepared ceiling area while keeping the rear PCB connectors accessible.
STEP 03
Connect the controller.
Link the panel cable to the controller output terminals, then connect additional panels in sequence.
STEP 04
Power, test, and enjoy.
Connect the DC jack, apply power, then check every panel before completing the ceiling finish.
Five-Wire Connection
Connect the controller and panel in one clear order.
Two compatible cable orientation versions are supplied across our kits. Image 01 shows the standard version used with most kits; Image 02 shows the alternate version supplied with a smaller number of cable sets.
- Keep power disconnected while completing all low-voltage wiring.
- Most kits use the cable orientation shown in Image 01.
- At the controller, connect the first four wires from left to right to CH4, CH3, CH2, and CH1.
- Connect the fifth wire to the controller terminal that is sixth from the left.
- Connect the other end to the keyed panel connector, then check every connection before applying power.
- If the lighting response differs from the expected result, turn power off and follow the alternate orientation shown in Image 02.
App Setup
Bring your ceiling controls to your phone.
Download the Starlight Ceiling app from the controller QR code or the app store for your device.
Keep Bluetooth turned on and stay near the controller during first-time pairing.

Connect in four quick steps.
STEP 01
Open the app
Open the Starlight Ceiling app and go to the Settings tab.
STEP 02
Enable Bluetooth
Allow nearby-device access when your phone requests it.
STEP 03
Add your Starlight
Tap Add New Starlight and choose your controller from the nearby devices.
STEP 04
Finish pairing
If prompted for a password, enter 123456 and continue.
Daily Control
Set the sky for every moment.
Use the app to turn each Starlight on or off, switch between light modes, adjust brightness and cycle speed, or create your own light modes.
Choose a light mode
On the Home screen, tap Modes on a Starlight and pick one of the four built-in light modes: Staggered Wave, Synced Breathe, Steady On or Sequential Blink. Adjust brightness and cycle speed with the sliders, and use play, pause and skip to move between light modes.
Create a custom light mode
In Modes, tap New under Custom and name your light mode. Select a channel (Stars 1-4), choose Light, Blink or Breath, then set brightness, cycle, delay and wait time. Tap Preview to see it on your ceiling, then Save.
Control more than one room
Connect up to five Starlight controllers. Choose Individual to control each Starlight on its own, or All to control them together. Use the power toggle on Home to turn a Starlight on or off.
Manage your Starlights
Open the Settings tab to add a new Starlight, or tap a saved Starlight to rename, disconnect or forget it. Updating from an earlier app version? Version 7.0 is a complete rebuild, so pair your Starlights again from Settings > Add New Starlight.
