Starlight Ceiling App Privacy Policy
Starlight Ceiling - Effective August 24, 2026
Starlight Ceiling does not collect personal information, does not create user accounts, and does not use analytics or advertising services. All app data is stored locally on your device.
1. Overview
Starlight Ceiling is a mobile application developed by Edith-Min International Inc. that controls Starlight Ceiling LED fiber optic panels via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.
2. Data We Collect

3. Network Requests
The app makes a single type of network request: a firmware version check to our server to determine if a newer firmware version is available for your Starlight panel. This request sends only the current firmware version number. No personal information, device identifiers, or location data is included.
No other data is transmitted from the app to any server.
4. Third-Party Services
Starlight Ceiling does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. The app does not share data with any third parties.
5. Bluetooth & Permissions
The app requires Bluetooth permissions to communicate with your Starlight panels. On some devices, the operating system may also require location permission to scan for Bluetooth devices — this is an OS-level requirement for BLE scanning and the app does not access or store your location.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
All app data is stored locally on your device using standard platform storage. You can delete all app data at any time by:
- Uninstalling the app, which removes all stored data
- Clearing the app's data through your device's system settings
- Using the "Forget This Starlight" option in the app to remove individual device records
7. Children's Privacy
Starlight Ceiling is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
